50-year old George Prior from Los Angeles, California documented his experiment that involves drinking not one, not two, but ten cans of Coca-Cola per day for an entire month!

35 grams of sugar per can so that’s 350g ingested every day. According to the American Heart Association (AHA), the maximum amount of added sugars you should eat in a day are:
  • Men: 150 calories per day (37.5 grams or 9 teaspoons).
  • Women: 100 calories per day (25 grams or 6 teaspoons).
As expected, the results were not good. George’s former healthy and muscular physique changed drastically. His Coke-devouring habit resulted in a pot belly, he lost muscular mass and his weight rocketed from 168 lb to 192. Not only that, his blood pressure also shot up from 129/77 to 145/96, that’s way above the ideal 120/80. This lead to an increased risk of heart disease or stroke. According to George, this experiment also made him crave for more and it came to a point where he was scared he might be addicted to Coca-Cola.

During the experiment, he still ate the usual healthy stuff he eats. He simply added Coke in the picture. Too much of it.
The aim of George’s experiment was "to raise awareness about how much sugar you drink every day, and to remind you how unhealthy it is." As he said on his website: "Maybe it's not all coke, but they're all sugar drinks, and a big percentage of Americans drink at least the sugar equivalent of my ten Cokes."

As a vitamin manufacturer and a supplement manufacturer company, we encourage everyone to be mindful of their sugar intake. This is the part where we will say: “Less is more”. Less sugar, more (longer) life. But don't just take our word for it, Listen to what George said as he concluded the experiment:

Coke is like literally carbonated sugar. It is very unhealthy to make it an everyday habit of drinking coke. I'm surprised that you haven't got diabetes despite of 10 intakes of coke everyday. Glad that you're having a healthier diet now. I'm amazed of what you can do for science.

The effect of coke in our body is alarming! The span of one month of constantly drinking coke is short for an effect that is huge. This only shows that you shouldn't be drinking coke on a regular basis or do not drink coke at all. There can be a lot of disadvantages when drinking it, I think watching what you drink and changing it into a healthier one's is a must. To conclude this experiment, I think one must say that, you should drink coke at least once or do exercise whenever you drank coke to burn the unnecessary sugar taken.

Coke is actually bad for our health. As stated above, it is mostly composed of sugar. It doesn't have health benefits for our body. It is still preferable to drink water than coke. Coke is not a thirst quencher, it makes you feel more thirsty.
